Woven fabrics are warp and weft vertically staggered into the cloth. This cloth type tends to have splits and frays where cut, and must be fixated by means of coating or applying glue. After the fabric coating process, generally fabric splits will have good improvement, and will help with subsequent cutting processing.

In recent years, due to advances in processing technology and an increase in demand, there has been the development of a wide range of functional coating processing. By gluing the fabric surface to form a layer or multilayer film, not only does it improve the appearance and feel of the fabric, but it also makes the fabric waterproof, pressure resistant, gives it moisture-permeable ventilation, fire and stain resistance, and light reflectivity, among other additional features. After these fabrics are coated depending on the desired function, they are widely used in flameproof fabrics, cold resistant clothing fabrics, protective work clothing, outdoor sportswear fabrics, etc. These are the changes that the textile industry has been pursuing in the mainstream these past few years.
